A room made of work

In a quiet studio in Oslo, artist Yngve Jørgensen cultivates a world where memory, material, and identity meet. Born in Bodø (1981), and trained at Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo, Yngve moves fluidly between visual art and craft, drawing from personal history and a deep connection to nature.

His practice revolves around found objects — often passed down through family — placed in dialogue with layered acrylic paintings on linen. These works shift between clarity and earthiness, blending vivid pigment with sawdust and ash to create surfaces that feel both fragile and grounded.

A member of LNM, NBK, and NKNN, and represented in public and private collections, Yngve’s art is quiet but insistent — tactile, emotional, and rooted. His space, much like his work, tells a story of becoming — one object, one layer, one memory at a time.
